Born and raised right here in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Tina Higgins is proud to serve her community as a trusted, local travel advisor. As the owner of a small, women-owned, minority-owned Cruise Planners franchise, Tina combines her lifelong passion for travel with personalized service rooted in the values of her hometown.

After earning a B.S. in Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Science from McNeese State University, Tina spent three decades working in Houston and Lake Charles in roles that reflected her love for technology and problem-solving. Eventually, she followed her entrepreneurial spirit and opened her own travel agency with Cruise Planners—the nation’s largest home-based travel franchise.

Tina believes that the key to being an exceptional travel advisor is product knowledge. She’s completed extensive training with major travel brands like Royal Caribbean, Holland America Line, Uniworld River Cruises, Virgin Voyages, and AM Resorts. She is also an Accredited Cruise Counsellor through the Cruise Line Industry Association and a Certified Autism Travel Professional, specializing in inclusive, stress-free travel experiences for families and individuals with special needs.
